The BPCF recently receive the following e-mail requesting your help. Bracknell PCF are not connected to this study but are passing on the e-mail so that if you are interested then you can contact Newcastle University directly.
I hope you don't mind me contacting you.
I'm a PhD student at Newcastle University looking into the early experiences parents have before their child is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
I'm currently carrying out an online survey about the earliest concerns parents/families/carers had about their child's development and about the referral and diagnosis process they experienced.
I understand that the Bracknell Parent Carer Forum works actively with families to help support and connect families of children with complex needs and to help inform Bracknell Forest council and East Berkshire Clinical Commissioning group on the support and services that are needed within and around Bracknell Forest.
Because of the work you do I thought some of your members may be interested in taking part in the survey that I'm currently carrying out.
I was wondering if you would be willing to share the survey with your members.
I've attached a copy of the recruitment poster for you to look through.
You can also find the survey at: https://newcastle.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/parent-survey
You're more than welcome to look through the survey before deciding if to share the survey with your members.
I understand that you carry out work with families and carers of children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, so please do not feel pressured to share the survey if you do not think it would be applicable to your members.
If you have any questions please do ask.
